On Friday, October 26, it was reported that Sofina Foods Inc. is recalling Janes brand Pub Style Chicken Burgers from stores due to possible Salmonella contamination.
The nationally distributed product has a package size of 800 g, 2019 MA 14 written on the outer package, and 1348M written on the inner package.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) reminds residents that food contaminated with Salmonella may not look or smell spoiled but can still make you sick with symptoms such as fever, headache, vomiting, nausea, abdominal cramps and diarrhea.
Young children, pregnant women, the elderly and people with weakened immune systems may contract serious and sometimes deadly infections.
Residents are advised to check for this product in their homes and either throw it out or return it to the store it was purchased from.
