Power Outage Affecting More than Five Thousand Brampton Residents

A widescale power outage is in effect this morning.

Alectra Utilities reported an outage at 10:50 a.m. in the area of Hurontario Street and Mayfield Road to Steeles Avenue East and Highway 50.

Roughly 5580 homes and businesses are affected.

Crews are investigating, Alectra says.

There is currently no estimate for when power will return.
