Good news for those looking to get away from the stress caused by the pandemic.
According to a tweet from Minister of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade, Victor Fedeli, short-term rentals will be permitted to resume operations starting Friday, June 5 at 12:01 a.m.
This includes lodges, cabins, cottages, homes, condominiums, and bed and breakfasts.
Previously, short-term rentals, which are defined as stays lasting 28 or fewer days, were only allowed in situations where people are in need of emergency housing, according to Ontario’s Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act.
