The city of Brampton is inviting residents to attend the Brampton 2040 Speaker Series.

This free event will feature international leaders who have contributed to the implementation of transformational changes in cities around the world.

It will also allow residents of Brampton to engage with ten renowned speakers David Crombie and Stephen Lewis and hear their ideas on how to move the city forward.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to taste samples from Brampton restaurants (while quantities last) while also enjoying local entertainment.

This event is part of a larger project, which aims to develop the Brampton 2040 Plan and will be the first of many events that will transform the vision from a concept into an actionable plan to guide the future growth of the city.

The Brampton 2040 Plan will guide the infrastructure needed to support a growing city, including transit, streets, parks, schools and recreational facilities as well as housing, offices and shops.

The Speaker Series will take place on four consecutive Wednesdays beginning on January 22, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. with doors opening at 6:00 p.m.

“The Brampton 2040 Speaker Series is an exciting event that will provide Bramptonians with the opportunity to be inspired by world-renowned leaders, as well as share ideas on what Brampton should become over the next quarter century,” said Mayor Patrick Brown.

“I encourage all residents to attend and make their voices heard on what matters most to them. Together, we are on a journey to Brampton 2040.”
