Sheridan College Teaming Up With Brampton Library To Offer More Courses

Sheridan College and Brampton Library are teaming up to expand course options in Brampton. Soon, Sheridan College students will have the opportunity to take courses at Brampton's Four Corners Branch Library.

Sheridan College will offer some courses in three programs at the library, which will be held in the evening starting Fall 2019. The three programs include Project Management, Business Analysis and Data Science.

The Project Management program will be available online or on-campus.

"The program is designed to meet the professional development needs of experienced project managers facing new challenges and novice professionals new to project management. You will learn how to contribute to key areas of project management, including human resources, communication, time integration, cost, quality and risk procurement," writes Sheridan College on its website.

Upon graduation, students will earn the Sheridan Certificate and successfully earn Professional Development Units (PDUs) towards PMI certifications.

The Business Analysis program will also be available online or on-campus.

"The Certificate in Business Analysis will provide you with the core knowledge, competencies and skills to become an in-demand Business Analyst. You'll be able to identify an organization's needs and recommend effective solutions to address complex business challenges," writes the college.

The last program, Data Science, is also available in both online and campus form.

"Sheridan's Data Science Certificate will give you the competitive advantage you need to break into the Big Data and Analytics industry. In this series of data science courses, you'll explore, analyze, report on, monitor and use predictive analysis on small to large data sets in order to transform data into business information. You'll also explore data science principles, methods and techniques for complex problem-solving in order to facilitate better business decisions," writes Sheridan College.

Some courses from each program will be offered at Four Corners, located at 65 Queen Street East. To learn more, click here.
