The company that owns Winners, Marshall’s and Home Sense announced recently that starting Wednesday (May 27) some locations across Canada will be reopening.

In an Instagram post, TJX Companies Inc. said they would be welcoming customers back this week and taking steps to ensure that shoppers and staff stay safe.

“As select locations are re-opening, the health and well-being of our customers and associates is our number one priority,” the post says.

A letter from TJX’s president posted to the company’s website says that they have installed protective shields at registers, have implemented strict physical distancing protocols and are developing safe processes for handling merchandise and returns.

“In light of the pandemic, we have been highly focused on the changes we are making to operate more safely in the future,” the letter reads.

“For our Associates, we are following newly established health protocols, providing personal protective equipment, and implementing social distancing working practices.”

The Instagram post says that staff members will be required to wear masks and they encourage shoppers to do the same.

Not all store locations will be reopening this week, however.
