Suspect Arrested Following Criminal Harassment Investigation in Brampton

One suspect has been arrested and is facing a number of alleged charges following a criminal harassment investigation in Brampton.

One suspect has been arrested and is facing a number of alleged charges following a criminal harassment investigation in Brampton.

According to police, on Thursday, June 6, 2019 at around 7:10 a.m. the victim, a 17-year-old female from Brampton, was approached by a man at a bus stop in the area of Van Scott Drive and Van Kirk Drive in Brampton. 

Police say the suspect grabbed the victim’s wrist and pulled her in the direction of his car. However, the victim resisted and the suspect left the area.

Then, on Sunday, June 23, 2019 at around 8:30 p.m. the victim was in the area of her residence in Brampton when the suspect drove up to her and commanded her to get into his car. The victim refused, and the suspect left the area.    

According to police, on Monday, June 24, 2019 the suspect was arrested and is facing the following alleged charges: assault, forcible confinement, and criminal harassment. 

He is set to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton for a bail hearing on Tuesday, June 25, 2019.

The accused is described as black male, who is 30-years-old, 5’7’’, and 130 pounds. Police say the suspect has a thin build, a dark complexion with a short black afro, and was operating a two-door black Hyundai Genesis.
