Suspect From Brampton Facing Charges in Relation to Massive Drug Trafficking Incident

Two suspects are facing charges in relation to a drug trafficking incident.

Two suspects are facing charges in relation to a drug trafficking incident.

According to police, on May 13, 2019, Halton officers were conducting proactive patrols in the area of Cross Avenue and Trafalgar Road in Oakville.

They conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle, and developed grounds to believe the two occupants were in possession of a controlled substance.

The driver and the passenger were both placed under arrest.

According to police, a subsequent search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of cocaine, crack cocaine, fentanyl, and cannabis.

As a result, the suspects are facing the following alleged charges.

Courtney Jeshuron (27) of Mississauga was charged with:

  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking (6 counts)
  • Trafficking a controlled substance
  • Possession of a controlled substance

Rennay Harris (26) of Brampton was charged with:

  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking (3 counts)
  • Trafficking a controlled substance

Both the accused were held in custody pending bail hearings.

Later, on May 14, 2019, the Halton Police executed a search warrant at Jeshuron’s residence in Mississauga. Officers located additional crack cocaine and oxycodone

In total, the Halton Regional Police Service seized (approximately):

  • Fentanyl (11 grams)
  • Cocaine (8 grams)
  • Crack cocaine (2.8 ounces)
  • Oxycodone (4 tablets)
  • Cannabis (42 grams)

The estimated street value of the controlled substances seized is $6,000.
