Suspects Charged After Ramming Police Vehicles in Brampton
Peel Regional Police have charged two men in a stolen property investigation.
According to police, on July 9, 2018, officers located a stolen vehicle in the area of Glidden Road and West Drive in Brampton.
“Investigation into the vehicle revealed that it was involved in a pursuit and ramming of a police vehicle with Halton Police on July 9, 2018,” reads a recent release.
Police say that the vehicle was stopped at 153 Van Kirk Drive in Brampton.
Two suspects were subsequently arrested.
“During the vehicle stop the involved driver rammed tactical trucks causing extensive damage to several vehicles,” reads the release.
No injuries were reported.
Mandeep Pannu, 33, of no fixed address was arrested on July 10. The suspect was charged with two counts of possession of property obtained by crime, and two counts of possession of a controlled substance and possession of opioids. He was held for bail.
Harpreet Singh, 38, of Brampton was arrested on July 10. The suspect was possession of property obtained by crime, flight from police, two counts of operation while disqualified, and breach of probation. He was also held for bail.
