These Were the Most Popular Books at Brampton Libraries in 2018

Is reading more one of your New Year’s resolutions for 2019?

The Brampton Library system currently has a vast selection of books and other items in its seven branches: Chinguacousy, Cyril Clark, Four Corners, Gore Meadows, Mount Pleasant Village, South Fletcher’s and Springdale. 

If you want to start reading (or are looking for more books to consume), here’s a look at some of the most popular titles that were checked out of Brampton’s libraries in 2018, according to a spokesperson for Brampton Library.


Top 10 Children’s Books Borrowed in 2018As you can see, the top children’s book borrowed from Brampton’s libraries in 2018 is The Getaway by Jeff Kinney (part of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series), followed by one of the books from the Harry Potter series. A number of books from the Geronimo Stilton series were quite popular as well.


Top 10 Adult Borrowed Books in 2018The acclaimed thriller writer Dan Brown’s Origin topped this list of most borrowed adult books in 2018, followed by two of John Grisham’s books: The Rooster Bar and The Whistler. Fire and Fury by Michael Wolfe (an inside account of the first year of the Trump White House) also made the list, as well as a number of textbooks on mathematics, functions and biology.
