Another murder suspect is in handcuffs on Sunday after surrendering in connection with a Mississauga shooting which killed a Brampton teen.

“All three suspects have been arrested,” said Peel Regional Police Const. Bally Saini.

Shamar Lawson Meredith, 18, of no fixed address, appeared in Brampton court on Sunday.

Meredith was charged with first-degree murder – in relation to the shooting which killed 19-year-old Kamar McIntosh of Brampton on April 27 – and was remanded into custody.

McIntosh was shot to death in the washroom of Popeyes Louisiana Chicken following an “altercation with the suspects” in the fast-food restaurant at Hurontario St. and King St. at 3:25 p.m.

Officers were sent to 2515 Hurontario St. in Cooksville, finding McIntosh with several gunshot wounds.

Paramedics transported the victim to a local hospital where he died of his injuries.

A GoFundMe page has been set up to cover McIntosh’s funeral costs.

Meredith is the third suspect to be arrested in this case.

Thulani Chizanga, 19, of Mississauga, surrendered to Toronto police on May 6, appearing in Brampton court on May 7 and again on May 8.

Warrants were issued for Chizanga and Meredith on May 3.

A young offender was arrested the same day. The boy, 17, is charged with first-degree murder.

His name is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
