Canada Herb brand Red Chili, according to the Canadian Food Inspection Agency, has been recalled due to possible Salmonella contamination.
If you think you became sick from consuming this recalled product, call your doctor. If the product is in your home, it should be thrown out or returned to the store where it was purchased.
It is possible that this product may have been sold in bulk or in smaller packages with or without a label and may not bear the brand or product name as seen below.
Consumers who are unsure if they have purchased the recalled product are advised to contact their retailer.
Contaminated food may not look or smell spoiled, however, it still could make you sick.
Young children, pregnant women, the elderly and people with weakened immune systems could contract serious, and sometimes deadly, infections.
Others may experience short-term symptoms such as fever, headache, vomiting, nausea, abdominal cramps and diarrhea. Long-term complications could include severe arthritis.
