Three Trapped in Vehicle After Colliding with Pole in Brampton

Paramedics were called to the scene of a collision this evening.

At 8:45 p.m., Brampton Emergency Services reported that a vehicle struck a pole on McLaughlin Road South, causing the roadway to be closed between Queen and Harold Street.

Three people were trapped in the vehicle.

Paramedics attended and freed all three before taking them to hospital. The extent of injuries is unknown at this time.

Residents should avoid the area for now.

UPDATE: Two people remain at a local hospital while two were taken to a trauma centre, one with life threatening injuries, police say.

The investigation is ongoing.
