Located just south of Bovaird on Main is one of the finer dining restaurants in Brampton called Aria. Aria is situated in the beautiful historic house of Walter E. Calvert. This place is a lot bigger than you think, as it boasts six private dining rooms and the main dining room seats about 30 people. This is definitely an occasion date night restaurant, as the service is absolutely impeccable. You will be waited on by no less than three people throughout your meal. The service also comes with a warm, personal touch—you'll definitely be greeted with a smile when you walk in and a genuine thank you when you leave. The menu has everything from seafood to steaks to Australian lamb chops to an escargot app (as you can see below). You will not be disappointed on a date here.
To say this was one of the city's most highly-anticipated new openings is a huge understatement. The brand new opening was definitely good news for fans of comforting western staple foods and the hockey legend himself--especially considering the fact that Clark was on hand to welcome new patrons. The casual dining restaurant--which boasts locations in Vaughan, Burlington and Hamilton--just opened up shop on Main Street North, just steps away from the Rose Theatre. Some popular menu items include baby back ribs, chicken quesadillas, six different types of burgers (including the Wendel burger with bacon, onion rings and cheddar cheese), Montreal smoked meat sandwiches and more.
3) J. Red & Co.
Definitely one of the most modern restaurants in Brampton, from the atmosphere to the innovative menu. Located on Vodden and Main is one of the gems in the city. Chef Jason Rosso is the mastermind behind the menu and if his name sounds familiar to you, it's probably because he has appeared on such TV shows as Restaurant Makeover, Recipe to Riches and the Marilyn Dennis Show. He is known for offering familiar food with a twist and the menu does not disappoint. What's better than going out on a date and experimenting with a new style of food you have never tried before? You can try things like smoked cheddar mac 'n cheese, egg rolls and crispy fried cauliflower ‘wings.’ My favourite is the Bob and Doug burger. Even if you have nothing to talk about, you can still talk about the food!
When you think of street meat, you might think about going to town on a foot-long hot dog before a Jay's game or after a long night of clubbing. You might even think of satisfying a hearty craving after a hectic hour at a local Costco or Canadian Tire. Even if you have fond memories of curbside sausages, you probably never associated the scrumptious meal with freshness and variety. JB's Street Meat, which opened just a few short weeks ago in the Queen and Kennedy area in Brampton, invites diners to enjoy casual but well-crafted meat and BBQ dishes indoors. While owner Jonathan Boone and his team like to change up the menu based on the day's shopping, they do offer some staples that diners can expect to see on the menu daily, offering a core menu with pulled pork and pulled chicken, mac and cheese, ribs and more. While fresh cuisine is incredibly popular, it's typically associated with higher price points and the associated expenses sometimes deter diners looking to spend less on their meals. According to Boone, customers need not fear hefty price tags at his resto, as filling foods are competitively priced for the average diner.
If you travel to one of Brampton's most sophisticated and serene restaurants, you'll get to pair exquisite scenery with a classic dishes. Terrace on the Green, a spacious fine-dining establishment that doubles as a wedding and special occasion venue, offers great ambiance and a classic menu full of tried and true favourites, including a roasted Chilean sea bass with risotto and a very fresh slaw. Although the risotto is somewhat average, the Chilean sea bass is anything but. The dish boasts soft, tender white fish with a crispy, golden top that's perfectly seasoned. The fish is neither chewy nor dry and the lightly fried surface adds a delectable bit of crunch to an otherwise delicate item. The rest of the menu is full of fine dining classics, so it won’t disappoint anyone looking for a traditional dinner.
