They're right when they say they have "the best fish and chips in town." Located in a plaza on Main Street North, the restaurant has a lot to offer. Not only do they serve five different types of fish but also salads and appetizers. The staff wasn't very talkative but knew how to make good fish and chips. I got the small halibut and chips meal for about $10. The fish was fresh, soft and the batter melted in my mouth. The fries were good but a little soft, so they might disappoint if you prefer a crispy texture. The dining area was huge and clean. If you're planning on eating in or taking out, Henry's is a great choice to satisfy your fish and chips craving.
Located on McLaughlin Rd, Stacy Lee’s is a cozy spot for brunch in Brampton. The Blueberry Waffle was light and fluffy and the blueberry topping was perfectly sweet and bursting with flavour. The welcoming atmosphere brings warmth on a cold winter day. I’m confident that anything ordered off the menu at Stacy Lee’s will be delicious! The hard part will be deciding what to order. It is truly a unique spot worth visiting with family and friends.
Looking for something sweet and savoury? Satisfy all your taste buds with the Spicy Southern Chicken and Waffles at J. Red & Co Food + Drink. Once you bite into this curious combination, you’ll discover that chicken and waffles were made for each other! The spicy chicken and maple syrup created a well-balanced mixture of flavour that I like to call sweet heat. The crispy onion rings were the cherry on top. The brunch menu (only offered on weekends from 11am to 3pm) has a great mix of classic breakfast items and regular appetizer/lunch options.
If you want a great artisan sandwich (especially a loaded veal one with all the fixings), this is the place to go. Hidden in an industrial-ish area just around the corner from Williams Parkway and Torbram, That Italian Place is a very busy spot with an authentic Italian feel. A word of caution when you visit: order early or have time to spare. This absolute gem of a restaurant appeared on The Food Network’s You Gotta Eat Here in 2013 and for good reason - every item on the menu looks and tastes authentically delicious. If you’re in the mood for a hearty veal sandwich with all the toppings, you truly shouldn’t look anywhere else. The veal is tender, the mushrooms are filling and flavourful and the hot peppers add a certain wow factor that makes the sandwich complete. Another awesome item on their menu is the authentic woodfired pizza! If you’re looking to grab lunch, this is the ideal spot.
So this is the best Florentine Eggs Benedict I’ve had in my life. Period. Just writing about it brings on a craving. Complementing certain tastes and flavours is an art form; it’s very rarely something that is left to chance. The blend of hollandaise sauce, egg whites, yolk, spinach, mushroom, and English Muffin all complement each other to such a perfect degree that it tastes like one solid flavour within the same profile. Confusing? Think of a colour spectrum where you can see blue change to green as you move your eyes through the spectrum. Now think of this dish as being able to let you taste the entire spectrum all in one bite without skipping a single transition - powerful stuff! As if this wasn’t enough, they went ahead and seasoned their potatoes beautifully to add a little spice to your meal. Crunchy, savoury, and a little bit salty. Brampton, this is one of your best Eggs Benedict by far!
