Top 5 Indian Buffet in Brampton
Everyone in a 200 km radius knows if you are looking for the real deal for Indian food, shops and culture, you come to Brampton.
If you are looking for Indian buffet with piping hot naan straight out the tandoor, butter chicken that will make your relatives in east London jealous or fiery hot south Indian food, you come to Brampton where the real heads play!
A staple in Brampton in regards to Indian food, located on Advance just up the street from heavy hitting vegetarian Indian buffet "Brars," Bombay Palace has it all! From delicious vegetarian dishes to meat-heavy goat curry or vindaloo to the vegetarian mainstay Palak paneer, this spot has it all. This is actually the first Indian place I hit up when I moved to Brampton and have been hooked ever since. $20.99 for dinner on the weekends and $14.99 for lunch, you will not be disappointed hitting this spot up.
Seems weird to have a non-Punjabi spot in Brampton on this list, but sometimes a brother needs to spice it up a little. Sometimes I need to stray from the heavy grub from "India's breadbasket" and grab some spicy Dosa. This place has a fantastic buffet on the weekends that is rather busy in the AM / early lunch hour. All your dosa classics like masala dosa, vada and amazing house-made chutney. The buffet ranges from around $10.99 for weekend mornings to $12.99 for a weekday lunch and $14.99 in the evening. It's worth every penny, if you ask me.
Located on the heavily fortified border between Brampton and Mississauga, this spot sits right at the corner of Ray Lawson and Mavis (Chinguacousy) and has been a mainstay in this community for about 20 years. The amount of people coming in and out of this place is a testament to its street cred in Brampton. The buffet in the evening on a weekday will set you back about $17.99 and a lunch buffet $13.99. The food is fresh, and there is a heavy selection of both veg and not-veg to sink your teeth into. Peep your head over the salad bar to see the crew cooking up fresh naan straight out the tandoor. This spot is one of my favs because they have a private lounge in the back for rent where my crew and I can retire with our plates of shahi paneer and drinks and chill. Pick up some homemade Kulfi (ice cream pops made of almond and cardamom) on the way out as you pay your bill.
Some dub this spot the Mandarin of Indian buffets, as it caters to all ages, shapes and creeds. Whatever it is you want when it comes to Indian food, it's here. The Brampton location is very busy every night of the week as the location not only hosts the public, they also host large corporate parties. Also, if you are looking for an exotic drink, they have a variety of original cocktails that taste pretty damn good with a big plate of muttar paneer. Buffet on the weekends in the evening is $23.99 while weekday evening buffet is $20.99. Make sure to make a reservation online or over the phone because this place gets busy QUICK! To be honest, I was resistant to this spot as it is flashy and gets a lot of hype, however I love it! I love the fact that this spot has introduced so many of my non-Indian friends to Indian food.
1) Brars Sweets
This is the spot in Brampton if you are looking for Indian food! Although I had reservations about a vegetarian restaurant, the resto came highly recommended. Well, I went and I keep coming back, over and over again. We all know the guys at Brars are major players, as their paneer is carried in grocery stores along with their sweets and other products. From the moment you step into this place, you will be greeted by attentive and knowledgeable staff and unbelievable vegetarian curries that will make that chick from Mumbai you met on Snapchat jealous. This is the real deal, the gem of Brampton when it comes to Indian grub, it is inviting while keeping it real.
