Officers have arrested two men following a total of 14 home break-ins in Brampton.

Officers have arrested two men following a total of 14 home break-ins in Brampton.

Police say these nighttime break-ins happened in March and April in the area of Balmoral Drive and Eastbourne Drive.

“Four of the break and enters occurred while the home owners were home sleeping,” police say. “The total value stolen is estimated at $20,000.”

The suspects were identified on Tuesday, April 30 and a search warrant was executed at their Brampton residence.

Police say they located evidence and stolen property valued at $2,000, which was returned to the victims.

On Thursday, May 2, police arrested brothers Stephen Cardy, 26, and Michael Cardy, 24. They are charged with five counts of Break and Enter, four counts of Attempt Break and Enter, and two counts of Possession of Stolen Property under $5,000.
