Jeffrey Bernard of Brampton has just won $500,000 with OLG’s The Big Spin Instant game.

Jeffrey Bernard of Brampton has just won $500,000 with OLG’s The Big Spin Instant game.

According to OLG, Bernard, a 43-year old father of four, discovered his chance to win while waiting for his father to get a haircut.

“I took the ticket to a retailer and watched the wheel land on Big Spin,” he told OLG.

“I was flabbergasted! I ran to the barbershop to tell my Dad. My Dad asked how much I won, and I said that I didn’t know yet!”

According to OLG, Bernard survived a life-altering car accident a number of years ago.

“This win is a life-changer. Words can’t explain how I feel after 10 years of struggle. This win is an amazing bright spot in my life right now. I’m so thankful and overwhelmed,” concluded Bernard.

Bernard plans on purchasing a new vehicle and will be investing some of his winnings.

The winning ticket was purchased at Mom’s Convenience on Avondale Boulevard in Brampton.

Virni Colorado of Brampton is also celebrating after winning $250,000 with Instant Bingo Multiplier.

According to OLG, this isn’t a first-time win for Colorado.

The 48-year old married cashier won $25,000 playing Instant Crossword about 10 years ago, according to OLG.

Colorado discovered this win at home while waiting for her husband, according to OLG.

“After my kids had eaten, I sat down in the living room for some alone time before my husband came home,” she said.

“I uncovered my ticket and saw that I had three lines of a box uncovered, so I knew I had won. I just didn’t know how much.”

Colorado told OLG that she called her kids to tell them the news, but she was so excited that she couldn’t speak.

“I couldn’t catch my breath. They kept asking if everything was okay but all I could say was yes, everything is good,” she laughed.

The mother of three has been looking to buy a house for her family for some time but wanted to save money for a larger down-payment before purchasing. Colorado told OLG that this money will help them to do that.

“I haven’t been working since the COVID-19 shutdown, and this win feels like a gift from God. It’s a relief for my family,” she concluded.

The winning ticket was purchased at Convenience Access on Williams Parkway in Brampton.
