Two charged in New Year’s Eve murder of Brampton teen

A man and woman have been charged in relation to the death of 17-year-old Jordan Henry, according to Peel Regional Police.

On New Year’s Eve and 11:58. p.m., emergency services responded to Alderbury Crescent in Brampton in regards to a suspected shooting. Upon arrival, police say the victim was located suffering from life-threatening injuries as a result of gunshot wounds.

Despite the best efforts of first responders, the victim died at the scene.

On Thursday (Jan 2), Zakaria Hassan, a 22-year-old man from Hamilton, was arrested and charged with First Degree Murder. Rukhshar Wahab, a 20-year-old woman from Kitchener, has also been charged with being an Accessory After the Fact.

They were both held for a bail hearing and will be attending the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on Friday.
