Two people deceased after fire in Brampton

Last night, (May 7) Brampton Fire and Emergency Services responded to a fire in Brampton.

Last night, (May 7) Brampton Fire and Emergency Services responded to a fire in Brampton.

At 10:41 p.m. on May 7, first responders were called to the area of Queen Street West and Nelson Street West in relation to a house fire. 

Brampton Fire Services rescued an individual from the roof upon arrival, but two people were pronounced deceased.

“On behalf of Brampton Fire Services and Brampton PFFA our condolences go out to the families and friends of the two individuals that lost their lives in tonight’s fatal fire,” said Chief Bill Boyes, Brampton Fire & Emergency Services in a tweet.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
