Two youths arrested in relation to Brampton robbery

Two youths have been arrested in relation to three robberies within the GTA by investigators from the Central Robbery Bureau.

On Thursday, October 24, 2019, at 6:30 p.m., two 16-year-old male youths, along with an unknown suspect entered a communications and media store around Mavis Road and Matheson Boulevard in Mississauga.

The suspects were all wearing masks and demanded that two employees in the store attend the back.

Both employee’s hands were then zip-tied by the suspects before fleeing the scene in a dark coloured sedan.

On Tuesday, October 29, 2019, at 2:23 p.m., two 16-year-old male youths along with an unknown suspect entered a communications and media store around First Commerce Drive and Wellington Street in the City of Aurora.

The suspects were wearing masks and demanded that two employees attend the back of the store. The employee’s hands were zip-tied by the suspects before fleeing the scene in a stolen vehicle, along with property from the store.

On Thursday, October 31, 2019, at 11:00 a.m., two 16-year-old male youths along with an unknown suspect entered a communications and media store around Airport Road and Bovaird Drive in Brampton.

The suspects were wearing masks and demanded that two customers along with three employees attend the back of the store.

An altercation occurred resulting in one of the customers, a 67-year-old man, obtaining non-life-threatening injuries.

The customer’s and the employee’s hands were zip-tied by the suspects before fleeing the scene in a stolen vehicle along with property from the store.

On Thursday, October 31, 2019, at around 12:00 p.m., investigators with the assistance of Toronto Police located the stolen vehicle around Finch Avenue West and Weston Road in Toronto.

Two 16-year-old youths were arrested and charged with robbery, wearing disguise with intent, assault causing bodily harm and the possession of stolen property, after a brief foot pursuit.
