An overnight collision has left one person dead in Brampton.

An overnight collision has left one person dead in Brampton.

Police were called at 12:20 a.m. after a female pedestrian was struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Gore Road and Queen Street.

The vehicle did not remain at the scene, police say.

The victim was taken to a trauma centre with life-threatening injuries. At 1:23 p.m., police reported that she had succumbed to her injuries.

The Major Collision Bureau is continuing to investigate this incident.
