Police have confirmed that a recent incident in Brampton thought to possibly be a kidnapping was not so.

Police have confirmed that a recent incident in Brampton thought to possibly be a kidnapping was not so.

Around 10:07 p.m. on Saturday, September 19, a caller contacted 911 and advised that two males were in an altercation with a female at Creditview Rd and Wanless Dr.

“The caller indicated that the female was forced into possibly a black Audi. As the female was being forced into the vehicle, she yelled, ‘help me, help me,'” said police.

“Additional information received indicated that the black Audi left the area travelling northbound on Creditview Road, a red sedan followed the black Audi from the scene.”

Police were able to view video surveillance from a nearby business. Two possible suspect vehicles were identified; the first is a Black Audi. The second vehicle is a red sedan, possibly a late model Lexus.

Investigators received assistance from the public and say it appears that a woman associated with a red vehicle and two men associated with a black SUV pulled into a parking lot area of a commercial space. A woman exited a red vehicle and a male exited a black SUV.  A short time later, a physical altercation occurred between the female and the male.

“The female returned to the red vehicle and the male returned to the black SUV at which point both vehicles exited the parking lot,” said police.

Police believe no one was forced into another vehicle or kidnapped, but are continuing to investigate this incident as there was a physical altercation.

Investigators are appealing to the woman in the red vehicle and two males in the Black SUV to contact the police. Witnesses or drivers in the Creditview Rd and Wanless Dr area between the hours of 9:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. with any information are asked to contact police.
