Vehicle flees after pedestrian struck in Brampton

Police were called at 7:32 p.m. for a pedestrian struck by a vehicle in the area of McVean Drive and Cottrelle Boulevard.
The victim is being transported to a trauma centre with unknown injuries.
The vehicle left the scene, police say.
More information to come as the investigation continues.
UPDATE: Police say the victim, an adult male, suffered life-threatening injuries.
Roads in the area are closed for the investigation and residents are asked to avoid the scene.
