Transport Canada is investigating after a plane crashed into an electrical pole at Toronto’s Pearson airport before it was supposed to take off.

More than 200 passengers were on board EVA Air flight BR35 heading to Taiwan on Dec. 2.

“There were no injuries,” said Peel Regional Police Const. Harinder Sohi.

The plane was evacuated just after 1 a.m. Saturday

The aircraft was getting ready to taxi when its right wing clipped the pole.

Police responded and “we made sure everybody’s safe,” said Sohi.

The incident was turned over to the feds.

Passengers en route to Taipei were stuck at the airport after the flight was cancelled.

Damage is estimated at several million.
