It’s the Canada Day long weekend in Brampton! Here's a look at what's open and closed—and where you can check out fireworks—on Monday, July 1, 2019.

What’s Open and Closed Monday, July 1


  • Bramalea City Centre is open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Movie theatres
  • Some smaller grocery stores, such as Rabba grocery stores, will be open
  • Most Shoppers Drug Mart locations
  • Recreation Centres will be operating on reduced schedules. Click here for more info.
  • Most restaurants that operate on Mondays will be open, but call ahead to be sure
  • Other major malls that are open: 
  • Toronto Premium Outlets (9:30am - 7pm)
  • Square One (11 a.m. - 6 p.m.)
  • The Rec Room and The Food District will be open at Square One
  • Vaughan Mills (10 a.m.-7 p.m.)
  • Eaton Centre (11 a.m.-7p.m.)
    Pacific Mall


  • Shoppers World
  • Banks
  • LCBO
  • Beer Store
  • Government Offices (all levels)
  • City Hall
  • Region of Peel offices and non-emergency services
  • Canada Post (no mail pick up or delivery)
  • All libraries

  • Garbage will not be collected 


  • Brampton Transit will run on a Sunday/Holiday schedule and transit stores will be closed
  • There will be a free shuttle to Chinguacousy Park from some locations (Mount Pleasant GO Station, Trinity Common Mall, Sheridan College, Gore Meadows Community Centre). Click here for info.
  • GO Transit will run on a Saturday schedule


  • Garbage and recycling (blue box, green bin and yard waste) will be collected one day later
  • Community recycling centres will be closed


  • Chinguacousy Park at 10 pm.
