It is called "Boxing Day" because - and this began in medieval Britain - servants had a day off and would receive a gift box on this day. It’s a provincial stat holiday only in Ontario so let's rejoice, Brampton!

  • All major grocery stores 
  • Skating rinks — Gage Park, Chinguacousy Park, Mt. Pleasant
  • Shoppers Drug Marts
  • Movie theatres

  • Other major malls that are open: 
    - Vaughan Mills - 7am-9pm
    - Eaton Centre - 7am-9:30pm
    - Pacific Mall - 11am- 8pm
    - Square One Shopping Centre 8am to 8pm

    - Erin Mills Town Centre - 8am to 8pm
    - Heartland Town Centre (some stores open as early as 8am)
