Youngest African Canadian Author Launches First Book In Brampton
Making a difference in a community doesn't have to have an age requirement.
11-year-old Tate Ovbiagbonhia is proof of that sentiment. With an official book launch happening on Feb. 23 at Brampton's Chris Gibson's Recreation Centre, the child wants to give back to his community.
His newly, published comicbook, entitled CheetahBoy, attempts to showcase diversity in comics, as well as representation for kids of colour.
The book launch is in and of itself a historic moment for the young Canadian, who also wants to have it recognized during Black History Month.
The Chris Gibson Recreation Centre is located at 125 McLaughlin Road North, with the event taking place between 3 to 5 p.m.
